Kephren-BB
Submitted by Sébastien Judenherc 10/09/2009 - 14:41

Kephren-BB is designed for mobile broadband stations. Kephren3-BB provides 3 high resolution channels (40Vpp) and 3 mass positions measurements. Kephren6-BB has 3 more standard channels, typically for an accelerometer. Kephren-BB is a full featured data logger. It implements the same features as Kephren with a power consumption of 2W only (Kephren3-BB). The 3 high resolution channels (40Vpp, 145dB@40sps) fit the requirements for most broad-band  seismometers. The mass positions are displayed as mV in real time so the user can quickly interact with the sensor and send a mass centering command if needed.

The technical data for Kephren-BB are available here.

Kephren-BB noise

A Kephren-BB station is running in the Pyrnénées since summer 2009. It has been installed as a typical mobile broadband station. The first data set is available online : http://www.agecodagis.com/MELLES

More information about the Kephren-BB in Melles are coming soon.

Kheops station running and providing continuous data flows
Submitted by Sébastien Judenherc 03/07/2009 - 12:41
After the LSBB upgrade (read below), one more Kheops is operating in Calern (CALF). The station is connected to a STS-2 and an accelerometer. The SeedLink data flows are transmitted to GeoAzur and then to the Orfeus data center.  Data availability for the Kheops stations (RUSF_07 and CALF_00) can be checked online : http://www.orfeus-eu.org/Data-info/orbstats.html Waveforms from the recent Crete earthquake are also available from Orfeus (POND/2009/182/*2009.182.09.30.08.mseed) or using the AutoDRM running at GeoAzur.
